Job Description

    You will be joining our SIT/Scrum team as an experienced Mainframe Tester, where your primary responsibility will be to ensure software quality for a variety of IT applications. Your role will involve testing complex applications, conducting functional testing activities, ensuring proper application functionality, and reporting any issues through the appropriate channels.Your key responsibilities will include understanding project requirements, creating essential test deliverables such as test strategies, plans, scripts, scenarios, and test data. You will actively participate in requirement review and grooming sessions, conduct test estimation, scheduling, and execution, and report results to various stakeholders. Additionally, you will be responsible for identifying regression testing scope and coverage, managing defect identification and reporting, and ensuring their resolution. It is crucial to adhere to Agile methodology, testing standards, and best practices while establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external teams, including business users. You will be required to perform all job responsibilities independently while fostering a collaborative team environment.To be successful in this role, you should possess a Bachelors degree or equivalent experience and have a minimum of 5 years of formal testing experience in a structured environment. Holding certifications such as ISEB/IQSTB Qualified (Foundation level or higher), AWS Practitioner Certified, and Agile Certified would be advantageous. You must have experience testing web-based applications, web services, APIs, strong SQL skills, and familiarity with both relational databases (DB2, MSSQL, Oracle) and NoSQL databases like DynamoDB. Mainframe testing experience and understanding are highly recommended. Proficiency in a Linux environment, basic knowledge of Python for script analysis, experience in a formal Agile environment, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential. Your excellent time management skills, ability to work under deadlines, and exceptional written and verbal communication skills will be valuable assets in this role.Desirable qualifications include Mainframe Batch testing experience, exposure to test automation tools and principles (e.g., Selenium, BDD), and the ability to maintain and manage Selenium/Cucumber Java-based functional test automation scripts for UI/API.Your shift timing for this role will be from 2 PM to 11 PM.Skills required for this position include Mainframe, Automation Testing, and Functional Testing.,
