Job Description

    As an experienced Mainframe Tester joining the SIT/Scrum team, your primary responsibility will be to ensure software quality for a variety of IT applications. You will be testing complex applications, conducting functional testing activities, ensuring proper application functionality, and reporting any issues through the appropriate channels.Key Responsibilities:- Understand project requirements- Create essential test deliverables such as test strategies, plans, scripts, scenarios, and test data- Participate actively in requirement review and grooming sessions- Conduct test estimation, scheduling, and execution- Report results to various stakeholders- Identify regression testing scope and coverage- Manage defect identification and reporting- Ensure defect resolution- Adhere to Agile methodology, testing standards, and best practices- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external teams- Perform all job responsibilities independently- Foster a collaborative team environmentQualification Required:- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience- Minimum of 5 years of formal testing experience in a structured environment- Certifications such as ISEB/IQSTB Qualified (Foundation level or higher), AWS Practitioner Certified, and Agile Certified (advantageous)- Experience testing web-based applications, web services, APIs- Strong SQL skills- Familiarity with relational databases (DB2, MSSQL, Oracle) and NoSQL databases like DynamoDB- Mainframe testing experience and understanding recommended- Proficiency in a Linux environment- Basic knowledge of Python for script analysis- Experience in a formal Agile environment- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills- Excellent time management skills- Ability to work under deadlines- Exceptional written and verbal communication skillsYour shift timing for this role will be from 2 PM to 11 PM. Desirable qualifications include Mainframe Batch testing experience, exposure to test automation tools and principles (e.g., Selenium, BDD), and the ability to maintain and manage Selenium/Cucumber Java-based functional test automation scripts for UI/API.Note: Skills required for this position include Mainframe, Automation Testing, and Functional Testing.,
