Job Description

    Role Overview:You will be responsible for supporting the design, deployment, and operations of a large-scale global Oracle cloud computing environment (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure - OCI). Your primary focus will be on the development and support of network fabric and systems, requiring a deep understanding of networking at the protocol level and programming skills to automate operations efficiently. In this role, you will be supporting tens of thousands of network devices and servers connected over a mix of dedicated network infrastructure and CLOS networks.Key Responsibilities:- Improve the availability, latency, performance, efficiency, and capacity planning of entire services and ecosystems- Own critical projects and services, serving as a leader within the team and a recognized subject matter expert by other teams- Enhance operational tooling, practices, deployment processes, and support hiring and mentoring efforts- Collaborate across teams, drive improvements on KPIs and SLOs, and reduce operational pain points- Drive operational maturity across the organization and manage technology migrations for major components- Organize incident management procedures, lead and drive projects, and collaborate on cross-team efforts- Act as a specialized escalation point for outage events, conduct root cause analysis, lead post-event actions, and resolve complex system issues- Develop new metrics and dashboards for operational optimization, provide assessments for incoming systems, and advise on integration options- Organize technical milestones, coordinate tasks, advise leadership, and collaborate with other teams within the organization- Handle project requirements, specifications, and documentation as a technical lead on moderately complex projects- Serve as a Tier 2 or specialized escalation point for network events, develop automation scripts for complex tasks, and lead network automation projects- Provide technical guidance to staff, coach junior members, and collaborate with vendor engineering and account managers to address business and operational issuesQualifications:- Career Level: IC4About Us:Oracle is a world leader in cloud solutions, utilizing cutting-edge technology to address current challenges.
