Job Description

You will be part of the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Security and Compliance Platform Engineering organization, contributing to the development of next-generation AI-driven cybersecurity solutions at cloud scale. Your role will involve ingesting and processing massive volumes of telemetry and security event data across OCI, utilizing advanced techniques such as generative AI (GenAI), large language models (LLMs), and machine learning (ML) to build intelligent detection, response, and mitigation systems. The ultimate goal is to deliver autonomous, adaptive security capabilities that safeguard OCI, Oracle, and the global customer base against evolving threat landscapes. You are invited to contribute to the development of high-scale, low-latency, distributed systems including massive data pipelines and databases.**Responsibilities:**- Design and drive end-to-end engineering efforts, including design, development, and test infrastructure, ensuring operational excellence.- Resolve complex technical issues and make design decisions to meet critical requirements for scalable, highly available, secure multi-tenant services in the cloud.- Mentor and guide junior team members on technological aspects.- Collaborate with stakeholders such as technical leads, directors, engineering managers, architects, product managers, and program managers to deliver product features on time and with high quality.- Proactively identify and resolve risks and issues that could impact team execution.- Assist in integrating various external application teams with the product.- Stay abreast of various Cloud technologies in Oracle to continuously evolve cloud provisioning and enablement processes.**Must-have Skills:**- BS/MS degree or equivalent in a related technical field with 5 years of overall experience.- Experience in building and designing microservices and/or cloud-native applications.- Proficiency in either databases or building big data systems, including ETL pipelines.- Strong problem-solving skills, can-do attitude, and ability to think on your feet.- Solid fundamentals in OS, networks, distributed systems, fault-tolerant design, and high availability systems.- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Java, Kotlin, Python, C#) and experience with containers (e.g., Docker/Kubernetes).- Detail-oriented, task-driven, excellent communication skills.- Organized, goal-focused, capable of delivering in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.- Creative problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to new technologies quickly.**Preferred Skills Or Nice-to-have Skills:**- Experience with Architectural patterns for High Availability, Performance, Scale Out architecture, Disaster Recovery, Security Architecture.- Knowledge of cloud-based architectures, deployment, and operational aspects.- Exposure to at least one cloud service provider (AWS/OCI/Azure/GCP).- Experience in implementing container monitoring tools like Prometheus/Grafana, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab), and using/creating build tools (Gradle, Ant, Maven, or similar).In this role, you will be at the Career Level - IC3.As a world leader in cloud solutions, Oracle leverages tomorrows technology to address todays challenges.
