Senior Network Engineer CCNA Security & Firewall Specialist

Job Description

Role Overview:You should have at least 6 years of experience in network operations or engineering roles. Your main responsibilities will include working on branch & data centre routing and switching, wireless setup and troubleshooting, enterprise firewalls, internet routing, security protocols, cloud networking, routing protocols, VPNs, proxy technologies, load balancers, network services, and monitoring tools. Additionally, you should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.Key Responsibilities:- Work as part of a global, cross-functional IT team.- Focus on operations, maintenance, and support, while also participating in projects and changes.- Collaborate with other IT teams such as Service Desk, Security, and End-User Services.- Take ownership of incidents and problems, ensuring timely resolution.- Support maintenance tasks, firmware upgrades, patching, and network changes.- Follow standard procedures and document your work in ServiceNow.- Stay updated on current and future network technologies.- Be available for shift work, weekend duties, and on-call support as needed.Qualifications Required:- Minimum CCNA certification is required; CCNP certification is preferred or in progress.- Strong working knowledge of routing and switching, firewall technologies, VPNs, proxy technologies, load balancers, network services, and monitoring tools.- Familiarity with the ITIL framework and ServiceNow ticketing system is a plus.- Understanding of voice, video, and AV technologies would be beneficial.
