Job Description

    Role Overview:As a Category Manager, you will be responsible for analyzing data to interpret industry and consumer trends, developing long-term strategies for product categories, and creating exit plans for underperforming products. You will build and maintain relationships with vendors, brands, designers, and artists, determine product positioning, collaborate with marketing teams, and forecast product demand. Your role will involve overseeing the overall management and profitability of a specific product category within the companys portfolio.Key Responsibilities:- Build and maintain strong relationships with brands, negotiate terms, and collaborate on exclusive/non-exclusive product launches or promotions.- Coordinate brand agreement sign-offs and renewals, develop annual brand plans, and ensure a relevant assortment for each brand in alignment with category productivity measures.- Work closely with brands and internal stakeholders to plan, coordinate, and execute launch plans, including pricing and promotion strategies to maximize sales and profitability.- Monitor brand performance against sales and profitability benchmarks, conduct rationalization of brands and assortments, and develop exit strategies for unsuccessful products.- Collaborate with the Supply Chain team on stock management, review stock levels, propose action plans for SKUs, and optimize inventory levels to minimize overstock or stockouts.- Track OMNI-channel category performance against set KPIs, implement programs in alignment with category strategies, monitor trends, and identify strategies to optimize category growth and performance.- Mentor and train Merchandising Executives and Interns.Qualifications Required:- Minimum of 4 years experience in Account/Brand Management, preferably in Luxury Furniture, Furnishing, Lifestyle, or Fashion industries.- Bachelors degree in business or marketing.- Strong interest in the Home Furnishing and Furniture industry, with a keen eye for trends and style.- Excellent command of spoken and written English.- Strong interpersonal communication skills, analytical skills, teamwork, initiative, and ability to work cross-functionally.- Independent and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
