Job Description

As a Backend Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend systems and services to support web and mobile applications. You will collaborate closely with front-end developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure high-performance and scalable solutions. Your key responsibilities will include:- Designing and developing high-quality, scalable, and secure backend systems using Java and related technologies.- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements and implementing features that meet business needs.- Writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices in software development.- Developing and managing APIs and integrations with third-party services.- Optimizing applications for maximum speed, scalability, and efficiency.- Troubleshooting and resolving issues in backend systems and APIs.- Ensuring security and data protection best practices are followed in backend development.- Participating in code reviews and contributing to the continuous improvement of development processes.Qualifications required for this role include:- 3-6 years of strong experience with Java programming language (Java 8 or above).- Experience working with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).- Experience with version control tools such as Git.Additionally, familiarity with Java frameworks such as Spring Boot, strong understanding of RESTful API design and integration, knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), familiarity with test-driven development (TDD) and writing unit/integration tests, ability to work in an Agile development environment, strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, excellent communication, and teamwork skills are desired skills for this role.You should also be willing to adapt to a dynamic and evolving business environment, stay updated on industry trends, tools, and technologies in Java development, and participate in industry events as a speaker or panelist. Your enthusiasm for staying updated on industry trends and advancements, ability to stay calm in tough situations, and perseverance will be valuable assets in this role.
