Software Developer - Database Test and Tools Development

Job Description

You will be joining the Database Test and Tools Development team at Oracle, where you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies in the database and cloud space. As a Test Development Engineer, you will be responsible for developing cloud-enabled tests for various features in Database, Cloud services, and Engineered systems. Your primary focus will be on developing tools, frameworks, and test applications/scripts to automate the test setup needed for the Oracle Kernel code.Key Responsibilities:- Develop tools/frameworks and test applications/scripts to automate the test setup for Oracle Kernel code features.- Create test programs that run fully automated on a server farm, configure test frameworks, run test applications, inject failures, and verify results independently.- Work closely with the feature development team to create test plans, tools, and infrastructure needed for the feature.- Review feature specifications before finalization to provide valuable inputs from a customer perspective.Qualifications Required:- B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science from a premier institution.- Strong fundamentals in relational databases.- Experience in web and desktop applications QA, with expertise in Oracle DB and SQL.- Hands-on experience in test design, development, and execution.- Familiarity with web automation using Selenium tools or other open-source tools.- Exposure to RESTful Services configuration and Oracle DB.- Excellent communication skills, troubleshooting abilities, and a good team player.- Eagerness to learn new technologies and solve complex problems.In this role, you will collaborate with a core team of individuals from top colleges to build best-in-class Database products. You will gain exposure to Open source technologies like Docker, Jira, Kafka, and ML while deep diving into Database/Cluster/Cloud services domains.
