Job Description

    As a Instrumentation and Control Engineer at DCM Shriram Chemicals, your role will primarily focus on ensuring the reliable operation, calibration, and maintenance of all instrumentation and control systems within the chemical plant. Your key responsibilities will include:- Carrying out preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of instrumentation equipment such as sensors, transmitters, analyzers, control valves, PLCs, DCS, SCADA systems, etc.- Troubleshooting breakdowns in instrumentation and control systems to minimize plant downtime.- Maintaining records of maintenance activities and preparing reports.- Directly reporting or coordinating with operational executives of the plant after duty hours or operational issues.- Being conversant with the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of field instruments like LT, PT, DPT, MFM, FM Control Valve, On/OFF Valve, Load cell, FT, TT, and many more.- Adhering to installation and calibration checklists, preventive and corrective maintenance procedures, safety policies, TBT, JSA, SOP, SMP, etc.- Regularly visiting and conducting daily checks of all Stack Analyzers, DCS, PLC, and third-party packages.- Assisting in the modification, installation, and commissioning of new instrumentation systems.- Participating in continuous improvement projects to enhance plant reliability and efficiency.- Ensuring compliance with chemical industry standards such as ISA, IEC, OSHA, ISO, etc.- Maintaining housekeeping in your area of ownership and workplace, and ensuring that contract workforce follows instructions for housekeeping.- Understanding and actively participating in training and mock-drills during emergency scenarios.Qualifications required for this position include:- Bachelors degree in Instrumentation and Control Engineering (AICTE/UGC approved).- 5 8 years of experience in instrumentation maintenance, preferably in the chemical, petrochemical, or process industry.- Strong knowledge of process instrumentation, control systems (DCS/PLC/SCADA), and field devices.- Hands-on experience in calibration, troubleshooting, and loop checking.- Familiarity with safety practices in chemical industries (hazardous areas, ATEX, SIL, etc.).- Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to plant emergencies.Working at DCM Shriram Chemicals will offer you a challenging and rewarding environment with significant opportunities for growth, along with a competitive salary and benefits package.
