Job Description

    As an Inventory Management Specialist, your role involves implementing an inventory control system to ensure the smooth functioning of the plant. You will provide input in the formulation of Stores system and ensure the implementation of agreed-upon material systems and operating processes. It is crucial to make all materials available as per the agreed-upon inventory level to ensure uninterrupted plant operation.Key Responsibilities:- Monitor daily material receipt and issue, ensuring timely entry into the system.- Timely unload/load Stores material using available resources.- Reduce breakage of material handled by transporters & contractors.- Conduct regular physical stock verification of inventory items.- Physically check inventory before issuing the material.- Assist in preparing the yearly/quarterly/monthly plan to maintain optimum inventory levels in the plant.In terms of Scrap/Surplus/Obsolete material management, your responsibilities will include:- Collection, storage, and disposal of scrap/obsolete/surplus material within the plant.- Sorting out obsolete inventory items in coordination with user departments.- Collecting and segregating scrap, surplus, and obsolete materials from various plant locations.- Organizing and concluding all activities related to the disposal of old furniture & fixtures, scrap, etc., with vendors.Furthermore, in System Management (Safety, Sustainability & WCM), you are required to:- Adhere strictly to safety & statutory environmental requirements.- Follow safety norms & protected operational procedures diligently.- Comply with OHSAS & SA 8000 norms.- Implement IMS, WCM, and sustainability practices.- Handle emergency situations like Liquid Chlorine leakages under Disaster Management activities.- Train the team to ensure compliance with these norms.- Maintain process systems with zero effluent and zero accidents.Qualifications Required:- Bachelors degree in a relevant field (e.g., Supply Chain Management, Operations Management).- Proven experience in inventory management and control.- Strong understanding of safety, sustainability, and waste management practices.- Excellent communication and organizational skills.- Ability to work effectively in a team and lead by example.Join our team and contribute to the efficient and sustainable management of inventory and materials within our plant.
