Job Description

OPD Registration & Appointments: Perform functions of reception, billing, registration and appointments. Provide information to patients w.r.t enquiries related doctors and their specialties, types of diseases and specialties. Answering in person and telephonic enquiries of patient w.r.t Doctors and their availability. Fixing consultation appointment through Qikwell system and manually for select consultants. Conducting billing of services of Bariatric OPD, Audiology, and Cosmetology & Radiation Oncology. Calling General / Private OPD Patients as per their token number. Using Queue Management System (QMS) for calling OPD Patients. Making Consultation Room available to Consultants. Coordinating with registrars for dressing / procedure and seeing patients in consultants off OPD hours. Guiding patients coming to OPD to other departments. Collecting OPD feedbacks. Entering weekly indent items in Inventory module as listed by Nursing Staff. Entering Consultant leaves in intranet portal. Registering complaint calls in Call book. Coordinating health check of all the bariatric patients. OPD Billing: Registration new Patient. Modification of Registration to update details of patients. Billing of OPD Consultation, Diagnostic, Health Check- up packages except MRI, CT, PET Scan. Cash collection of billing of Day Care OT Procedures, Scopy Procedures and Emergency Department after 5 pm. Individual scroll tally at the end of the shift. Filing all Credit Party Memos with Original bills in Credit Party Memo File. Writing details of each credit party bill in Credit Party Bill register as per format. Filing all refund bills in Refund File. Attaching all Credit / Debit Card slips to File. Closing Debit / Credit Card batch. Attaching batch closing statement to Credit / Debit Card slips File. Declaring short / excess cash to Manger OPD. Depositing Excess cash to Bank and pay out of pocket in case of short cash. Filling Bank deposit slips and depositing cash in bank safely and accurately. Entering weekly indent items in Inventory module. In Patient Services: On consultant order / prescription make bed reservation, OT reservation for the planned surgeries. Take in patient rounds of patients admitted under bariatric surgery. Report, document immediately patient feedback, queries, any incident or sentinel event occurrence to floor administrators, as per rounds of IN patients (Bariatric Patient). Assist IPD Bariatric patient in discharge and any other formality. Provide financial estimate to patients for various surgery. Patient rights: Ensure protection of patient rights and maintain patient confidentiality and privacy while providing services to patients. If patient has any query regarding any services kindly raise it to the immediate superior for providing correct information. Facility management: Ensure timely reporting of maintenance issues of AC, civil, biomedical equipment in complaint management system and escalate with pictures to immediate superiors on an urgent basis for rectification. Identify and report any infrastructure hazard prone area such as electrical, fire, hazardous chemical storage, to your immediate superior on duty. Conduct physical inspection, rounds and check maintenance of the department. Material management: Indenting, receiving and making consumption entries in HIS for inventory control. Issue of material, maintenance of the stock material and taking inventory of stock for proper requisition of material on weekly basis. Assist material department in scrap disposal. To control the pilferage and wastage of material. Disaster Management: To participate in the disaster drill such as fire evacuation drill, spill management, code violet in case of violence, code pink in case of child abduction, bomb threat, internal disaster and external disaster response. Implement the roles defined effectively. Ensure the timely intimation to immediate superior in case of any disaster. To always remember the emergency response contact numbers for specific disaster codes escalation.
