Role Overview:You will be part of a project aimed at building Large Language Model (LLM) evaluation and training datasets to enhance LLM performance in solving real-world software engineering problems. The project involves creating verifiable software engineering tasks using public repository histories through a synthetic approach with human-in-the-loop. Your role as an experienced software engineer (tech lead level) will focus on contributing to this project by engaging in hands-on software engineering tasks such as development environment automation, issue triaging, and assessing test coverage and quality.Key Responsibilities:- Analyze and triage GitHub issues from trending open-source libraries.- Configure code repositories, including Dockerization and environment setup.- Evaluate unit test coverage and quality.- Run and modify codebases locally to assess LLM performance in bug-fixing scenarios.- Collaborate with researchers to select challenging repositories and issues for LLM evaluation.- Lead a team of junior engineers on collaborative projects.Qualifications Required:- Minimum 3 years of overall software engineering experience.- Strong proficiency in Java or a similar programming language.- Familiarity with Git, Docker, and basic software pipeline setup.- Ability to comprehend and navigate complex codebases.- Comfortable with running, modifying, and testing real-world projects locally.- Experience in contributing to or evaluating open-source projects is beneficial.Additional Company Details:Turing is a rapidly growing AI company dedicated to advancing and deploying powerful AI systems.
