Job Description

    You will be responsible for overseeing the outsourced accounting operations of 6 locations across Asia and ensuring accuracy in accounting, reporting, and compliances by the outsourced accounting team. Your key responsibilities will include:- Transitioning from the current team and managing the relationship and tasks with the outsourced accounting vendor.- Coordinating regularly with the outsourced accounting function and internal shared services team to ensure smooth processes.- Reviewing and optimizing input and output processes to enhance efficiencies and fill expectation gaps.- Performing tasks related to payment authorizations, intercompany settlements, reconciliations, and ensuring adherence to pre-agreed processes.- Reviewing and analyzing financial reports produced by the outsourced teams for 6 locations and providing guidance for improvement.- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and internal policies by the outsourced partners.- Collaborating with the regional financial planning team to ensure actual expenses align with budgets and providing insights into expense breakups.- Acting as a bridge between business stakeholders and outsourced accounting partners for operational processes like Payables, Receivables, and Reporting.- Engaging with outsourced partners to modify processes to comply with regulatory changes and streamline operations.Qualifications required for this role include:- Proven experience in a finance role, particularly in managing outsourced accounting functions.- Knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and best practices.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex financial concepts into actionable insights.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across departments.- Bachelors degree in Finance/Accounting or a related field; MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CA, CMA) is a plus.- Experience in managing outsourced accounting for China/ASEAN locations could be advantageous.Morningstar is an equal opportunity employer with a hybrid work environment that allows remote work and in-person collaboration.
