Job Description

You will be responsible for leading the structural design and analysis of critical power plant components, with a focus on cooling towers and associated structures. Your role will involve utilizing advanced knowledge of reinforced concrete and steel structures to ensure the integrity and efficiency of power plant designs. Additionally, you will be required to apply relevant design codes and standards, conduct structural analysis for industrial buildings and water-retaining structures within power plant environments, and develop innovative design solutions for cooling towers, specifically Induced Draft Cooling Towers (IDCT) and Natural Draft Cooling Towers (NDCT). Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to integrate structural designs with other aspects of power plant engineering is also a key aspect of your responsibilities. Ensuring that all designs meet safety standards, environmental regulations, and project specifications is crucial, as well as providing expert guidance on structural engineering matters to junior engineers and project stakeholders. Continuous updating of knowledge regarding emerging technologies and methodologies in power plant structural engineering is expected to contribute to the companys growth by delivering high-quality, cost-effective structural solutions for power plant projects.- Lead the structural design and analysis of critical power plant components, with a focus on cooling towers and associated structures.- Utilize advanced knowledge of reinforced concrete and steel structures to ensure design integrity and efficiency.- Apply relevant design codes and standards such as IS codes, American, British, and European standards to domestic and international power projects.- Conduct in-depth structural analysis for industrial buildings and water-retaining structures within power plant environments.- Develop innovative design solutions for cooling towers, specifically Induced Draft Cooling Towers (IDCT) and Natural Draft Cooling Towers (NDCT).- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate structural designs with other aspects of power plant engineering.- Ensure all designs meet or exceed safety standards, environmental regulations, and project specifications.- Provide expert guidance on structural engineering matters to junior engineers and project stakeholders.- Continuously update knowledge of emerging technologies and methodologies in power plant structural engineering.- Contribute to the companys growth by delivering high-quality, cost-effective structural solutions for power plant projects.Qualifications:- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution; Masters degree in Structural Engineering is required.- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in the power industry, candidates with up to 25 years of experience will be considered for senior positions.- Demonstrated expertise in reinforced concrete and steel structure design, specifically within power plant environments.- Proficiency in applying relevant design codes and standards, including IS codes, American, British, and European standards for both domestic and international power projects.- Extensive knowledge of structural analysis software and CAD tools used in power plant design.- Professional Engineering (P.E.) license or equivalent certification is strongly preferred.- Proven track record of successful project completion in power plant structural engineering, particularly in cooling tower design.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative structural solutions.- Excellent communication and leadership abilities, capable of guiding junior engineers and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying abreast of emerging technologies in power plant structural engineering.You will be offered a competitive base salary with performance-based bonuses and opportunities for growth and professional development.
