Job Description

As a Java Software Developer at Sutherland, your primary responsibility will be to build and implement world-class products for the Travel Vertical industry. You will be involved in writing code, modifying software to fix errors, enhance performance, and upgrade interfaces.Key Responsibilities:- Grasp the business domain and database structure of the respective module- Decode business requirements into technical requirements- Design, code, unit test, and debug Java code- Design and develop microservices- Ensure timely completion of code development for product releases- Follow coding best practices, write clean modular code, and maintain optimal code quality- Conduct code regression testing and fix bugs identified during the testing cycle- Adhere to Scrum practices as guided by the Scrum Master- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts, Product Managers, and other project team members for requirements specification and detailed engineering analysisQualifications:- Education: Graduation/Post Graduation in Computer Science or related engineering field- Experience: Minimum 5 years to maximum of 6 years of experience in software development in the Java ecosystem- Minimum 3 years of experience working with Springboot and Microservices framework platforms- Minimum 2 years of experience working with AngularSkillset:- Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Spring, Apache Spark, Hibernate, Spring AOP, Spring Security, RESTful web services, JavaScript, jQuery, Angular, HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap, Ant, Maven, Log4J- Expertise in Spring Batch, PL/SQL, Drools, RabbitMQ, Kafka streaming will be an added advantage- Exposure to Agile Scrum methodologies- Work experience in Git or any equivalent version control system- Knowledge of CI/CD systems, preferably Jenkins- Strong English speaking, reading, and writing skillsAdded Advantages:- Prior experience in enterprise product development with geographically dispersed teamsJoin Sutherland to unlock digital performance and deliver measurable results in a collaborative environment where your expertise in Java development will contribute to the success of iconic brands worldwide.
