Job Description

As a Microservices Developer, you will be responsible for designing independently deployable services with well-defined responsibilities following the Single Responsibility Principle. You will work with frameworks such as Spring Boot (Java), Express.js (Node.js), Gin/Gorilla (Go), FastAPI/Flask (Python) for service design. Your expertise in database integration including SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Redis, and Cassandra will be crucial. You will follow the database per service pattern to avoid shared databases across services.Key Responsibilities:- Implementing Docker for containerization and Kubernetes for orchestrating and managing containerized microservices at scale.- Utilizing Helm for packaging and deploying Kubernetes applications.- Working with cloud services like AWS (EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda), Google Cloud (GKE, Cloud Run), or Azure (AKS).- Designing RESTful APIs and utilizing Swagger/OpenAPI for API documentation.- Securing APIs and microservices using best practices for encryption, token-based authentication, and other security measures.- Ensuring microservices are resilient to failure by implementing retries, circuit breakers, and failover mechanisms.- Implementing Pod security measures such as Seccomp, AppArmor, network policies, RBAC, PodSecurityPolicies, or newer replacements like OPA Gatekeeper.- Implementing API security standards like OAuth2.0/OpenID Connect and JWT-based authentication.In your role as a Microservices Developer, you will set up technical standards and governance structure for the enterprise, deploy and manage Kubernetes at scale in production environments, and work closely with cloud-native tools and patterns. You will also have experience with event-driven systems, multi-cloud deployments, hybrid cloud strategies, gRPC for high-performance communication, service mesh tools, authentication/authorization protocols, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).Qualifications Required:- BE/BTech degree in Computer Science, Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or Electronics & Communications Engineering, or an equivalent degree.- Alternatively, MCA, MTech, or MSc in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Electronics & Communications Engineering from a recognized university or institute.- Mandatory certification in Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS), Microsoft Certified: Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) Developer Associate, or Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration.- Minimum of 5 years of overall IT experience after undergraduate education, with at least 2 years in the Banking or Financial Services sector.In this role, you will collaborate with DevOps engineers, frontend, and backend teams to ensure seamless deployment, monitoring, and scaling of microservices in production environments. You will also write clear documentation for microservices, APIs, deployment procedures, and ensure new features are documented while minimizing technical debt. Additionally, you will design microservices to be horizontally scalable, write unit and integration tests using frameworks like JUnit, TestNG, or Mocha, and work in cross-functional teams following Agile/Scrum methodologies.
