React front-end developer

Role Overview:You will be joining Fugro, a global leader in providing valuable insights through sourcing and making sense of Geo-data for clients, enabling them to design, build, and operate assets more safely, sustainably, and efficiently. As part of the team, you will play a crucial role in building a next-generation laboratory processing application that will revolutionize how data is acquired and processed across Fugros global network of laboratories. Your expertise in React will be instrumental in defining the user experience for this mission-critical platform used worldwide.Key Responsibilities:- Demonstrate a strong drive to deliver high-quality, timely results with an ownership mindset.- Lead React development for a global laboratory application.- Collaborate with UX designers to create intuitive, responsive, and visually compelling interfaces.- Integrate front-end components with backend services deployed in AWS.- Participate in architectural discussions and propose innovative solutions.- Ensure performance, scalability, and maintainability of the front-end architecture.- Advocate for best practices in modern front-end development.Required Skills & Experience:- Senior-level expertise in React (minimum 8 years in React, Total Experience 10 to 13 years in front-end development).- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React hooks, and state management (Redux or similar).- Experience with automated testing including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests (Vitest, React Testing Library, Playwright).- Proven ability to work closely with UX designers and translate designs into functional interfaces.- Strong understanding of web APIs and integration patterns.- Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a distributed, international team.- Proactive mindset with the ability to speak up, take initiative, and suggest improvements confidently.- Deep understanding of in-browser APIs, including DOM, Shadow DOM, Media APIs, and other browser-native capabilities.- Experience in responsive and cross-browser development, building interfaces that work seamlessly across devices and browsers.- Familiarity with UI Frameworks like Material UI (MUI) or similar component libraries.- Expertise in version control, particularly Git, including handling complex workflows and resolving challenging merge scenarios.Nice-to-Have:- Hands-on experience deploying and managing services in AWS.- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in AWS.- Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration.- Experience with Python and C# for backend or data processing tasks.Company Details (if available):Fugro provides a positive work environment and projects that challenge curious minds.
