React front end engineer

Job Description

As part of the Geo-data revolution at Fugro, you will be involved in building a next-generation laboratory processing application aimed at transforming how data is acquired and processed globally. Your expertise in React will play a crucial role in defining the user experience for this mission-critical platform used worldwide. Working closely with a Dutch-based team, including a Product Manager, UX Designer, and three developers, you will be based in our Mumbai office. Your primary responsibilities will include:- Taking ownership and demonstrating a commitment to delivering high-quality results in a timely manner.- Leading React development for a global laboratory application.- Collaborating with UX designers to create intuitive, responsive, and visually compelling interfaces.- Integrating front-end components with backend services deployed in AWS.- Ensuring the performance, scalability, and maintainability of the front-end architecture.- Advocating for best practices in modern front-end development.Qualifications and Experience:- Senior-level expertise in React (minimum 5 years in React, 7 to 8 years in front-end development).- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React hooks, and state management (Redux or similar).- Experience with automated testing, including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests (Vitest, React Testing Library, Playwright).- Proven track record of working closely with UX designers and translating designs into functional interfaces.- Solid understanding of web APIs and integration patterns.- Experience with Material UI (MUI) or similar component libraries.- Hands-on experience deploying and managing services in AWS.- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in AWS.- Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration.- Familiarity with Python and C# for backend or data processing tasks.Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work on a global-scale application that impacts Fugros laboratories worldwide.
