Senior Engineer - Planning & Cost Control

Job Description

Role Overview:You will be part of the Project Control team at Jacobs, where you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing project performance across EPC/PMC/EPCM environments. Your responsibilities will include ensuring effective cost control, scheduling, risk analysis, and reporting to contribute to the successful delivery of projects. You will utilize advanced tools and methodologies such as Primavera P6, MSP, Power BI, and Earned Value Management to maintain project integrity and efficiency. Strong analytical skills, adaptability, and expertise in project controls within industries like advanced facilities, data centers, pharmaceuticals, solar, EV, chemicals, and life sciences will be essential for this role.Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and update project schedules encompassing engineering, procurement, and construction phases.- Develop deliverable schedules and progress S curves.- Update different schedules, critical activity reports, etc.- Monitor and control project schedules to ensure adherence to project management requirements through planning reports, progress variance analysis reports, critical path analysis, etc.- Proficiency in using Primavera (P6) & MS Project software, along with a good working knowledge of design, procurement, and construction/field services work.- Ability to work independently in a multidisciplinary team environment, with experience in Pro-Services Cost Controls & Monitoring considered an advantage.Qualifications Required:- Bachelor of Engineering with 8 to 12 years of experience in Planning, Scheduling & Monitoring of Projects in the Process Industry (Industrial Projects) from Concept to Commissioning Stage.- Proficiency in Primavera P6 & MS Project.- Familiarity with MS Office.- Knowledge of Eco-Sys software is an added advantage.Additional Details:At Jacobs, they value people and believe that a balance of belonging, career growth, and lifestyle enables them to consistently exceed clients expectations.
