Solution Specialist Manufacturing & Operations

Job Description

In this role at Dow, you will be a Solution Specialist in a production & operations management team. You will use expanded conceptual and practical knowledge to own a small portfolio of solutions and systems (applications) and manage their lifecycle. This includes analysis, design, implementation/adoption, optimization, and end-of-life retirement of digital solutions that deliver advanced functional and business capabilities. You will work hand-in-hand with a multi-disciplinary IT expert team to deliver innovative digital solutions. Your responsibilities will involve gathering and analyzing data to perform functional and technical requirements analysis, with an emphasis on experience simplification, automation, efficiency, and reliability. Your role will also require overseeing the development, optimization, implementation, and adoption of solutions leveraging best-in-class capabilities to accelerate Dows digital transformation.Key Responsibilities:- Requirements Analysis: Understand key business drivers to explore, analyze, and map business and function requirements.- Experience Mapping: Map user journeys, user experience, and user stories to facilitate employee experience (EX) / customer experience (CX) transformation.- IT Solution/Application/System: Drive the full solution lifecycle, including functional/technical design, solution architecture, buy vs make decisions, integration of third-party software, development, testing, and compliance to corporate standards and information security policies.- Adoption: Support implementation and user adoption.- Performance: Define controls, measures, and KPIs for solution performance and reliability.- End-to-End Integration: Coordinate with other Business Process Managers and Solutions Managers for end-to-end process optimization and integration.- Roadmaps: Define a solution(s) portfolio improvement and innovation roadmap with proper sequencing and prioritization of projects.- Team Management: Assist Sr. Solution Manager with workload analysis for team resource alignment and capacity planning.Qualifications:- Bachelors degree in IT discipline preferred or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.Your Skills:- Experience with manufacturing and operations applications, including SAP (Production Planning, Quality Management, Materials Management, Sales & Distribution) and non-SAP applications.- Experience with SAP ECC / S4HANA.- Proficiency in system integrations, data management, and troubleshooting complex application issues.- Interest or experience in AI and automation capabilities.Additional Details:No relocation support is provided for this role.About Dow Chemical International Pvt Ltd:Dow Chemical International Private Limited (Dow India) aims to be the most innovative, sustainable, inclusive, and customer-centric materials science company.
