Job Description

    As a Technical Support Specialist at Wrtsil, you will play a crucial role in providing expert-level technical assistance for digital navigation products and services. You will be responsible for conducting on-site visits for installations, training, and troubleshooting, as well as handling remote diagnostics and support. Your collaborative efforts with product and engineering teams will ensure timely resolution of technical issues. Your main responsibilities include:- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for digital navigation products and services.- Conduct on-site visits for installations, training, and complex troubleshooting.- Handle remote diagnostics and support via phone, email, and remote access tools.- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, issues, and resolutions.- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to escalate and resolve technical issues.- Stay current with product updates, industry trends, and navigational standards.To excel in this role, Wrtsil expects the following qualifications and skills from you:- Diploma / Bachelor Degree in Electrical and/or Electronics Engineering, Maritime Engineering, Certification in Computer Technology or similar field.- 3 years of experience in technical support, preferably in maritime or digital navigation sectors.- Familiarity with ECDIS, digital charts, publications, SSAS, and routing software.- Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-first mindset.- Willingness and ability to travel across the APAC region up to 10% of the time.- Proficiency in remote support tools, CRM systems, and technical documentation.Moreover, Wrtsil values the following additional qualifications and experiences:- Experience with SSAS, digital publications, and charting systems.- Familiarity with CRM software (Dynamics CRM) and remote connectivity tools.- Operational experience in logistics, fleet management, or vessel operations.- Knowledge of route optimization tools and methodologies.Joining Wrtsil means being part of a diverse and inclusive work community that supports your growth and development.
