Job Description

    As a Lead Analyst Financial Planning & Analysis at the British Council in Noida, India, your role involves supporting Financial Planning and Analysis activities, monthly reporting, and notes to accounts. You will be responsible for performing month-end and planning & forecasting activities accurately and in a timely manner. Additionally, you will review reporting packs, develop financial commentary, and work with stakeholders to enhance business knowledge and support in developing business commentary.Key Responsibilities:- Perform month-end and planning & forecasting activities without errors and according to the agreed timetable.- Review reporting packs for accuracy and completeness, and develop financial commentary independently.- Collaborate with stakeholders to take on additional reports for different SBUs/Regions/Business verticals.- Enhance business knowledge to support stakeholders in developing 1st level business commentary independently.- Implement controls in existing reports to reduce manual intervention and emphasize more on analysis.- Manage relationships with stakeholders including other COE strands, UK FP&A team, Finance Business Partners, and Regional Finance controllers.- Identify process improvement opportunities, discuss with stakeholders, obtain sign-off, and implement changes.- Develop and review KPIs for monthly deliverables and engage proactively with stakeholders.- Manage end-to-end KT process for new activities being transitioned from UK/Regions.- Act as SME for Management Information Reporting and Month End process, sharing knowledge with the team.- Prepare notes to accounts and coordinate with Group Financial Reporting Manager.- Manage ad hoc requirements and troubleshooting. Qualifications Required:- Intermediate experience in Financial Planning & Forecasting.- Knowledge of month-end closing & reporting.- Proficiency in SAP and SAP BW.
