Job Description

    Position: AccountantDepartment: Accounts & Finance Location: Olpad - Surat Reporting To: ManagementJob PurposeThe Accountant will be responsible for managing end-to-end accounting operations, financial reporting, statutory compliances, inventory accounting, and manufacturing-related finance activities. The role requires strong accounting expertise, leadership ability, and hands-on experience in managing accounts, taxation, MIS, and financial processes in a manufacturing environment.Key Responsibilities
    1. Accounting Operations & Financial Control
    • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including:
      • Accounts Payable (AP)
      • Accounts Receivable (AR)
      • General ledger management
      • Bank and account reconciliations
    • Ensure accuracy and timely completion of accounting entries.
    • Review accounting transactions and maintain financial discipline.
    • Supervise junior accounting team members and ensure process accuracy.
    1. Manufacturing Accounts & Coordination
    • Coordinate routine accounting activities related to manufacturing operations.
    • Maintain purchase and sales invoice entries.
    • Create and process purchase orders.
    • Manage factory expenses and operational cost records.
    • Maintain stock movement records and inventory-related accounting.
    • Support cost analysis and manufacturing cost control.
    1. Inventory Management & Cost Accounting
    • Maintain proper inventory records and stock reconciliation.
    • Monitor inward/outward stock movement.
    • Ensure accuracy between physical stock and system records.
    • Support cost accounting activities including material consumption and cost tracking.
    • Prepare inventory-related MIS reports.
    1. Taxation & Statutory Compliance
    • Handle GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances.
    • Ensure timely filing and documentation of statutory requirements.
    • Maintain compliance-related records and reports.
    • Coordinate with consultants for taxation-related matters.
    1. Financial Reporting & MIS
    • Prepare monthly financial reports and MIS dashboards.
    • Assist in preparation of:
      • Financial statements
      • Budgets
      • Expense analysis reports
      • Management reports
    • Provide analytical insights to management for decision-making.
    1. Cash Management & Documentation
    • Maintain factory cash voucher book and expense records.
    • Monitor cash transactions and ensure proper documentation.
    • Handle market cash collection and related reporting.
    • Ensure accuracy and accountability in cash management.
    1. Audit & External Coordination
    • Coordinate with auditors, banks, and financial consultants.
    • Provide required documents and information during audits.
    • Maintain proper accounting records for audit readiness.
    Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
    • Accuracy and timeliness of accounting records
    • GST, TDS, and statutory compliance management
    • Inventory accuracy and reconciliation
    • Timely MIS and financial reporting
    • Effective cost control and expense monitoring
    • Audit readiness and documentation quality
    • Team supervision and process improvement
    Desired Candidate ProfileQualification:
    • B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter
    • CA candidates preferred
    Experience:
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounting / Finance
    • Manufacturing industry experience preferred
    Technical Skills Required:
    • Strong knowledge of:
      • Tally Prime
      • Saral Accounting Software
      • MS Office
      • Advanced Excel
      • GST & TDS Compliance
      • Accounting practices and taxation
    Mandatory Requirements:
    • Good command over Hindi & English language
    • Professional email communication skills
    • Strong organizational and documentation skills
    • Valid two-wheeler driving license
    • Own two-wheeler mandatory
